    Vintage Masked Pierrot
    Male
    Clown Head Vase
    Wall Pocket, hand painted, gold trim on mask and ruffled collar is intact, in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, crazing, 6 1/4" tall, 4" wide, 2" depth, weighs 8 3/4 oz., with a hole in back for hanging, made in Japan.
    Pierrot was the name of the stock character in the old Italian pantomime-like theatre known as del'arte,

    was a sad clown in love with the beautiful Columbine clown, last photos depict them together, I am selling the male wall pocket only, does not appear often especially in this pristine condition.
