The turning mechanism on this old novelty item doesn't work smoothly, but it will turn sometimes and not others. I have done nothing at all to it since I found it a few months back. I suspect that perhaps a build up of dust could be the problem. A small shot of WD-40 might have her turning better when you open the shower door. She is sold as-is. The male novelty outhouse version is sometimes seen but this version doesn't come up for sale very often at all. I will ship her to you well packed in a box with tracking.
