Halloween 2020 had a rare Blue Hunter's Moon.
It is not common.  In 2001, the Central and Pacific time zones had a full moon, but a Halloween full moon hadn't appeared for everyone in ALL times zones since 1944!   The full moon in  September 2020 was called a Harvest Moon, meaning the full moon nearest the autumnal equinox that ushers in fall.  That means the Halloween full moon isn't just a Blue Moon, it also will be a "Hunters Moon", defined as the first full moon after a Harvest Moon.
