Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Sherman, Vintage, Late 1950's - Root Beer and Topaz AB Color - Round and Marquise Shaped Crystals -
Floral Capped Leaf Cluster Motif Earrings.
RARE DESIGN & COLOR COMBINATION! - EXCELLENT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE!
These handsome and impressive earrings date from the late 1950's, made by the well known Canadian firm of "Sherman" designed as pair of tapered 1.25" floral capped leaf motif clusters layered and stacked for a 3-D effect. The earrings are done in a series of dazzling and intense root beer, champagne topaz and topaz AB color round and marquise shaped crystals set in a gold plated setting.
The earrings are in excellent condition showing normal use all the original stones, none missing or replaced. There is a small loss to the finish or plating on the back of the earrings, this is minor, does not detract and common with Sherman's gold plated pieces.
The earrings are marked
on the back of the clips, Sherman in block letters.
SHERMAN
Sherman was a Canadian costume jewelry company that produced very high-quality pieces. Colorful or clear prong-set rhinestones or cut crystal beads (sometimes with an aurora borealis finish) adorn most Sherman pieces; the metal is rhodium-plated or gold-plated. "Jewels of Elegance" by Sherman was written on some carded Sherman jewelry. Sherman produced jewelry from 1947-1981.
