  • Condition: This aventurine has the most amazing green color; it could be said to closely resemble the green of "emerald". It is NOT "emerald" we are just describing the green in reference to the green in "emeralds." Aventurine is a form of a quartz. It exhibits aventurescence, a gemstone term used to describe the shimmering/glistening effects that can be observed by tiny mineral inclusions when light hits it at a certain angle. You can see this effect in the first pictures - the areas that look white/silver is the aventurescence we are speaking about.The front is flat but slightly thicker on the top half and slants down a bit and is thinner at on the second half. The front also has soft rounded shoulders/edges. The back is flat. Smoothly polished throughout (front, back and sides). Translucent.
