This is dated August 6, 1961.
This is one of the rarest autographs in entertainment as Cooley was convicted of killing his ex-wife and then went to prison.
He had bad health and was furloughed out of prison to preform at a charity event benefiting the Deputy Sheriff's Association of Alameda County in 1961. During an intermission after a long standing ovation, Cooley suffered a heart attack and passed away.
A talent gone to waste. A RARE signature indeed!
