You are looking at a beautiful new full size “les paul” guitar authentically autographed on the pick guard by Allman Brothers Band guitarist DICKEY BETTS. The Rambling Man signed the pick guard in permanent bold blue paint pen. Dickey signed it after a concert in NYC as you can see in the proof picture.
The guitar is a quality copy of Dickey Betts famous red top les paul guitar. It is not made by the famous guitar company but made to look like the guitar Dickey plays front and back. You can plug it in and play it but I’m selling it for display purposes as a piece of rock and roll memorabilia not as a musical instrument.
The Allman Brothers Band was an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, United States, in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman (slide guitar and lead guitar) and Gregg Allman (vocals, keyboards, songwriting), as well as Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums). Their 1973 Brothers and Sisters album included Dickey Betts' "Blue Sky", and his hit single "Ramblin' Man". These tunes went on to become classic rock radio staples, and placed the group at the forefront of 1970s rock music.
The band has been awarded seven gold and four platinum albums, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. Rolling Stone ranked them 52nd on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2004.
