Antique Primitive Tin Toleware Box Hand Painted Sewing Folk Art in 1946 SIGNED

Description

From what I researched, this looks like an early mid-19th century toleware box that was repainted and gifted in 1946. It has a wire handle.
approx 12" / 1 foot wide
7.25" deep and 8" tall
Beautifully signed
Paint has congealed - worse inside than outside
couple of large, not sharp dents in lid - could be pressed out potentially
Some paint chipping throughout - see photos - not actively chipping off though - will last for many more years
Hard to open
Tin box
Latch is missing - see photos
Was used as a sewing chest - I left the threads that went with it in the bottom of it!
