Up for auction is a Rare, Original, Hand-Signed Typed Letter from Academy Award and Grammy Award-winning actor and singer Frank Sinatra (1915-1998).

With his wife, Rowena, Russell Jelliffe established the interracial settlement house that evolved into the nationally known Karamu House dedicated to interracial theater and arts.
In the letter, Sinatra congratulates Jelliffe on his new theater, and how he (Sinatra) regrets that he is unable to underwrite the cost of a room at this time, as his attorneys and tax experts have established a program that Sinatra cannot deviate – including all charitable contributions.
An uncommon early letter by Sinatra.
Excellent condition with original mailing folds, “File” written in pencil on the upper left corner and minor handling.
