1901 Barber Quarter, Choice Uncirculated, PCGS MS-63, Original, Nice Color

1901 Barber Quarter, Choice Uncirculated, certified PCGS MS-63.
An unquestionably original Unc coin, that would likely have graded higher except for the obvious contact marks on Liberty’s cheek. To be honest, I saw this more as a MS-62 coin, as such are “Net” graded to account for minor defects. I presume that PCGS liked the color, luster and otherwise relatively mark-free nature, in order to award it this grade. Not the most common date in Unc grades either. As the marks might be a bit distracting to some, I have discounted this coin a bit below what it would normally command.
